There has been no known local transmission of cases with the same strain of Hepatitis A virus with in Sacramento County this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Populations at-risk of infection include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Homeless<\/li>\n<li>Injection and non-injection illicit drug users<\/li>\n<li>Healthcare and other service workers (i.e. staff at homeless shelters and jails)<\/li>\n<li>Sanitation workers<\/li>\n<li>Food handlers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Symptoms of Hepatitis A<\/strong> include fever, fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), stomach pain, vomiting, dark urine, pale stools, and diarrhea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can prevent the spread of Hepatitis A<\/strong>. Get the Hepatitis A Vaccine. Wash your hands with soap and water after using the bathroom or before preparing food.
